Responsibilities
- Client Engagement: Act as the primary technical lead, managing project scopes, timelines, and budgets while maintaining senior-level client relationships.
- Solution Architecture: Lead design decisions across frontend, backend, and data systems to ensure performant, maintainable, and scalable architectures.
- Project Management: Coordinate multiple complex projects simultaneously, identifying risks and optimizing team productivity.
- Hands-On Contribution: Step into the codebase when required to support prototyping, debugging, or high-priority technical tasks.
- Team Mentorship: Lead and coordinate multidisciplinary engineering teams, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous technical improvement.
- AI Integration: Identify strategic opportunities to integrate AI agents and automation tools to shift routine tasks away from the engineering team.
Technical Stack
- Frontend: JavaScript, React, or Vue.
- Backend: Node.js or similar modern frameworks.
- Data Engineering: Python, ETL pipelines, dbt.
- Data Analysis: SQL, dashboards, and advanced reporting.
Requirements
- Proven Senior Experience: Extensive background in technical delivery roles with direct client-facing responsibilities.
- Architecture Mastery: Experience leading architecture and solution design decisions for complex, distributed systems.
- Full-Stack Proficiency: Hands-on expertise across frontend, backend, and data engineering.
- Leadership: Proven ability to mentor engineering teams and "steer" multidisciplinary groups toward delivery excellence.
- Commercial Awareness: Ability to balance deep technical decisions with tangible business impact and ROI.
- Troubleshooting: Comfortable getting "under the hood" to resolve high-priority technical blockers.
Qualifications
- Strong familiarity with AI-enabled development and automation tools (Highly Regarded).
- Experience in a consultancy or agency environment managing multiple concurrent client initiatives (Preferred).
- Advanced project management certification (PMP, Prince2, or similar) or equivalent experience (Preferred).
