Role Description
We’re currently seeking a Senior UX Designer based in Colombia to join our freelance network on a part-time, ongoing contract basis. This role requires end-to-end UX ownership—from user research and testing to high-fidelity UI design. You'll work closely with developers, project managers, and other designers to create intuitive and effective digital products for a wide range of industries.
This is not a full-time position. We're looking for someone with flexible availability who can contribute remotely, work autonomously, and deliver exceptional UX work in a collaborative environment.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Lead the UX design process from discovery to final production.
- Conduct user research to identify pain points and opportunities.
- Create personas, user journeys, information architecture, and wireframes.
- Design interactive prototypes and high-fidelity mockups in Figma.
- Plan and conduct usability tests and iterate based on real user feedback.
- Translate insights into clear UX strategies that align with product goals.
- Collaborate closely with product managers, developers, and stakeholders to ensure design consistency and usability across products.
- Support continuous improvement of internal UX practices and methodologies.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in UX design with a strong portfolio showcasing user-centered projects.
- Proven experience designing for data-heavy platforms, including dashboards and data visualizations (priority).
- Expertise in Figma and familiarity with advanced prototyping tools.
- Strong understanding of UX research methodologies and design systems.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English (Advanced level required).
- Experience working within agile product teams.
- Ability to work independently and manage time across multiple projects.
- Must be currently residing in Colombia and legally authorized to work as an independent contractor.
Nice to Have
- Experience with AI-assisted design tools.
- Background in working with international or U.S.-based clients.
- Familiarity with accessibility standards (WCAG).
- Understanding of frontend technologies for smoother design handoffs.
