The Corporate Systems & Services IT Finance Portfolio team at one of our largest Fortune 200 Energy Generation clients is undergoing a multitude of Oracle Infrastructure activities, requiring 6-months of Software Engineering. They will play a key role in independently taking care of Oracle ERP, EPM, FDI and disaster recovery activities. ServiceNow enhancements across a multitude of modules, and ServiceNow operations. The selected Principal Software Engineer will manage and maintain Oracle SaaS products, driving infrastructure- related initiatives, serving as a liaison between platform teams, internal stakeholders & Oracle support.

The role is critical in preparing for and executing a Disaster Recovery event scheduled for June 2025, in addition to evaluating and implementing new features released by Oracle, ensuring high availability & performance across Oracle modules like ERP & FDI. This is a full-time, 6-month contract role with the potential for a long-term opportunity based on performance. Basic Qualifications:

• Undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
• 10–15+ years of experience in Oracle infrastructure, ERP, and SaaS application management.
• Strong hands-on expertise in Oracle ERP, FDI, and OCI (Oracle Cloud Infrastructure).
• Demonstrated experience in disaster recovery planning and execution in Oracle environments.
• Ability to work independently while coordinating with multiple cross-functional teams.
• In-depth understanding of Oracle application modules and platform integrations.
• Excellent troubleshooting, issue resolution, and stakeholder communication skills.
• Experience analyzing Oracle feature releases and leading enterprise-level implementations.
• Proven success in platform coordination and vendor collaboration (internal Oracle teams/platform teams).
• Strong judgment; excellent analytical ability and consulting skills.
• Excellent communications skills and ability to work effectively with all levels of IT and business management; proven ability to present to and communicate with Senior and Executive Leaders.
• OCI Certification (Oracle Cloud Infrastructure) is a plus!
• Experience with Oracle Fusion and related SaaS environments is a plus!
• Background in supporting enterprise infrastructure in regulated industries (e.g., energy, utilities) is a plus!

Responsibilities:

• Own and manage the full lifecycle of Oracle SaaS infrastructure, including updates, maintenance, and performance optimization.
• Lead and execute Disaster Recovery (DR) planning and testing in collaboration with Oracle and internal infrastructure teams.
• Drive adoption of new infrastructure-related features released by Oracle.
• Perform technical analysis and competency reviews and work closely with platform teams to ensure system compatibility and integration.
• Serve as the technical point of contact for Oracle ERP, FDI, and OCI-related issues.
• Coordinate and remediate technical issues with Oracle’s internal teams and platform stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with Oracle’s best practices for infrastructure management and security.
• Proactively support all Oracle application modules and ensure optimal configuration.
