Role Overview
We are looking for a highly organized and proactive Design Project Manager to lead complex digital delivery projects, with a strong emphasis on digital design engagements. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience managing design projects in a design studio, marketing team, or design consultancy. They will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and delivering design workstreams efficiently while ensuring seamless collaboration between internal teams and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
•Project Planning & Execution: Manage multiple complex digital design projects from initiation to completion, ensuring delivery within scope, timeline, and budget.
•Stakeholder Management: Act as the main point of contact for clients, managing expectations, gathering requirements, and ensuring alignment between design teams and business objectives.
•Scrum Mastery & Agile Processes: Facilitate Agile workflows, sprints, and design reviews, ensuring teams follow best practices for iterative design delivery.
•Statement of Work (SoW) & Budgeting: Develop SoWs, financial estimates, and project budgets. Ensure projects are financially viable and resources are optimally allocated.
•Resource Allocation & Time Planning: Manage team capacity, assign resources effectively, and coordinate with cross-functional teams to optimize project delivery.
•Internal & External Reviews: Organize and lead design critiques, stakeholder reviews, and client presentations to drive high-quality design outcomes.
•Risk Management: Identify potential project risks, propose mitigation strategies, and proactively address challenges before they escalate.
•Process Improvement: Continuously refine project management methodologies and workflows to enhance efficiency and effectiveness in digital design engagements.
Required Qualifications & Skills
Experience:
10+ years of experience in project management, preferably in a design studio, marketing team, or design consultancy.
•Digital Design Expertise: Strong understanding of design processes, UX/UI workflows, and digital product development.
•Scrum & Agile Knowledge: Hands-on experience leading Agile teams and running Scrum ceremonies. Certification (CSM, PMI-ACP) is a plus.
•Excellent Communication Skills: Exceptional written and spoken English, with the ability to clearly articulate ideas, expectations, and feedback.
•Stakeholder Management: Proven ability to manage clients, senior executives, and cross-functional teams with diplomacy and confidence.
•Financial & Resource Management: Experience with financial estimations, SoW creation, budget control, and resource planning for design projects.
•Tech & Design Savvy: Understanding of digital consulting, tech-driven design environments, and creative workflows. Familiarity with design tools (Figma, Adobe Suite) and project management software (JIRA, Asana, Trello) is a plus.
•Proactive & Solution-Oriented: A go-getter with the ability to anticipate challenges, propose solutions, and drive results in fast-paced environments.
