Staff Experience Designer (Risk/Servicing/Disputes/Collections)

Preferred locations: NYC, San Jose, CA

We are seeking a Lead/Staff-level contract Product Designer to provide coverage for product initiatives across various risk & service experiences. This role will maintain design continuity across active workstreams, help shape new initiatives, and independently support end-to-end design execution with minimal day-to-day oversight.

Responsibilities:

• Support ongoing initiatives.
• Own design execution from discovery through final delivery and launch support.
• Translate business and user requirements into clear, high-quality design solutions.
• Design across all web and mobile platforms.
• Leverage and contribute to design systems and pattern libraries.
• Produce high-fidelity designs and prototypes using standard tools (e.g., Figma).
• Collaborate with product, engineering, content, and research partners.
• Ensure designs meet usability, accessibility, and quality standards.

Requirements:

• 12+ years of professional product design experience.
• Experience with fintech/big tech/ecommerce platforms - leading/shipping designs
• Systems-level thinking
• Strong portfolio demonstrating end-to-end product design work.
• Experience with user-centered design and iterative development.
• Familiarity with complex or regulated product domains is a plus.
• Degree in design or a related field preferred but not required.
