Overview

We’re looking for a highly skilled Senior Visual Designer to help bring PayPal’s Strategic Merchant Initiative to life. In this fast-paced, high-impact project, you’ll create visually compelling assets and narratives that demonstrate how PayPal integrates seamlessly with some of the world’s most recognizable merchant brands.

Key Responsibilities

• Conceptual Mockups: Design high-fidelity, contextual visuals showing how PayPal experiences would appear across top merchant platforms (e.g., Uber, eBay).
• Pitch Deck Design: Create polished, on-brand pitch decks that clearly and persuasively tell the story behind each mock.
• Design System Application: Apply and extend PayPal’s existing design systems to produce fresh, creative concepts while maintaining brand consistency.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with product and design leadership to ensure alignment with strategic objectives and merchant needs.

Ideal Candidate

• Strong Visual Craft: Exceptional skills in visual and interaction design, with a keen eye for detail and storytelling.
• Pitch-Driven Experience: Background in agency-style pitch work or high-fidelity conceptual design for major brands or enterprise clients.
• Design System Expertise: Comfortable leveraging and evolving established design systems.
• Collaborative Mindset: Skilled at working closely with product and design leaders in a fast-moving environment.

Qualifications

• Background in B2B or merchant-facing design preferred (payments experience not required)
• 5+ years of professional visual design experience, preferably in digital products or marketing/agency settings; proven experience in sales organizations or consulting environments creating executive-level presentations
• Strong portfolio showcasing high-fidelity conceptual work and polished presentation design.
• Expertise in industry-standard design tools (e.g., Figma, Adobe Creative Suite) and expert-level proficiency in Figma with ability to export polished designs to PowerPoint
• Strong visual design skills focused on storytelling, data visualization, and merchant-facing communications
• Experience translating complex product concepts into clear, visually compelling narratives
• Ability to translate strategic goals into visually compelling concepts and narratives.
