Job description
Responsible for creating compelling designs for B2B products and services supporting airlines’ In-Flight Entertainment experience. Take complex and oftentimes very technical tasks and transform them into intuitive and easy-to-use designs for web, mobile and embedded environments.
Major Responsibilities
UX Design
- With guidance from the Design Leadership team, lead the Design Execution on airline-facing dashboards and content management services, from early experience mapping and low-fidelity wireframing to high-fidelity UI design and handover to development.
- Help manage and extend the design language system used by Panasonic Cloud interfaces
- Gather and integrate user feedback and evolving business requirements iteratively into product experience updates.
- Create conceptual designs that will inspire and push the boundaries for next generation products, services and experiences
Research
- Create and execute user testing plans for design verification.
- Analyze, assimilate and distribute research findings for the benefit of other designers and stakeholders.
Communicate and Collaborate
- Communicate ideas using a wide variety of methods from wireframes, user flows, journey maps, to prototypes and polished design specifications. Act as the point of contact for design on products and projects, eRectively lead meetings with stakeholders across multiple groups.
- Create compelling presentations to communicate and gain buy-in on the design strategy and direction.
Knowledge/Skill Requirements
- A mix of strong visual aesthetic with an ability to understand how to make a complex product feel simple and intuitive.
- Strong working knowledge of user mental models, task-flow/state-transition diagrams, storyboarding, wire framing, creating design specifications and guidelines.
- Experienced and proficient in using and contributing to common design systems shared by multiple products.
- Ability to handle curve-balls and drive to a consensus on a design direction with multiple objectives and parties in play.
- Knowledge of latest industry trends, tools and practices.
- Strong presentation and storytelling skills (oral, written and visual). Must be able to clearly articulate a user experience vision to internal leaders and present to client.
- Prior experience conducting primary user research, prototyping and usability testing.
- Advanced proficiency with Figma
Education Experience Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree (preferably in User Experience Design, Human Computer Interaction or Graphic Design)
- 8+ years of hands-on interaction design and user research across the entire product development cycle
- Strong portfolio demonstrating a track record of solving real-world problems with intuitive, successful and creative designs
