_The Shop Manager (SM) a majority of the seller tools that Etsy sellers use to run their shops. This includes the main dashboard, their order management system, listing management system, conversations platform and more. Beyond the seller surfaces, the team is also responsible for the Shop Manager development platform that other teams work within. Our job is to ensure that sellers always have a consistent, reliable and delightful experience while using Etsy's tools to run their shop

About The Role

As a Senior Fullstack Engineer, you will have the opportunity to work on loosely scoped, moderately complex problems that help both our sellers and internal developers at Etsy. You will be working with a highly collaborative group and might have the opportunity to shape our roadmap and also mentor other, more junior engineers on the team.

You will work on a variety of platform projects in React and PHP
The types of efforts you may work on include:
Creating a “platform” for other engineers to work on to make changes to or better make use of our Shop Management surfaces
Enhancing or adding new seller services or features (like an improved Dashboard, Statistics or Order Management)
Taking in other squads’ roadmaps and prioritizing improvements that can enable them

Requirements

__Must-Haves

Full stack experience - API and client side on web
PHP & React experience
Strong communication skills to give team leads timely updates on status of work and call out when you are blocked
Ability to onboard quickly to new codebases and work largely independently
Ability to take the lead on advising and implementing solutions to moderately sophisticated, loosely scoped problems that are aligned with the team's goals
Strong understanding of product work and experience partnering with product teams and other stakeholders to define projects needs
