Sr Kubernetes Software Engineer [2025.k8.01]

Job Description

Technical Skills

• 5+ years of hands-on experience with Amazon EKS in production environments at scale
• Expert-level Linux system administration skills, particularly with container-optimized distributions
• 3+ years of experience building and managing custom Bottlerocket AMIs
• Strong Golang development skills with 3+ years of experience building production systems
• Deep understanding of Kubernetes internals, control plane components, and node lifecycle
• Strong knowledge of AWS EC2, AMI management, and instance lifecycle

Preferred Qualifications

• AWS certifications: Solutions Architect Professional, DevOps Engineer Professional
• Kubernetes certifications: CKA, CKAD, or CKS
• Experience with Karpenter and AWS Node Groups
• Experience with Bottlerocket, TOML and advanced Linux networking concepts
• Familiarity with AWS Systems Manager and CloudWatch
• Understanding of Kubernetes scheduling algorithms and node affinity
• Experience with Karpenter for node provisioning and lifecycle management
• Experience with security and vulnerability management
