Job Summary

Pyyne is seeking a Senior Software Engineer with experience working with .NET C#

to work as a Consultant for a large US-based Insurance client out of our Brazilian

Office.

A successful candidate in this role will be a capable player-coach, able to provide

technical support to mid-level and junior developers, while contributing to the

team’s codebase themselves. The Pyyne team will interact regularly and directly

with technical and non-technical stakeholders in the client organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain web applications using .NET Framework/.NET Core and C#
• Build responsive user interfaces using MVC architecture and React components
• Develop and optimize SQL Server databases, stored procedures, and queries
• Implement Entity Framework for data access layer and ORM functionality
• Apply dependency injection principles and design patterns for scalable application architecture
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions
• Participate in code reviews and maintain coding standards across the team
• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues in insurance applications and systems
• Mentor junior developers and provide technical guidance on best practices
• Contribute to system architecture decisions and technology roadmap planning

Must Have Skills:

• 5+ years of professional software development experience in an Agile work environment
• Strong proficiency in .NET Framework/.NET Core and C# programming
• Extensive experience with ASP.NET MVC for web application development
• Solid understanding of React.js and modern JavaScript ES6+
• Advanced SQL Server skills including query optimization and database design
• Hands-on experience with Entity Framework (Code First and Database First approaches)
• Strong knowledge of dependency injection patterns and IoC containers
• Experience with RESTful API development and integration
• Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, and responsive web design principles

Nice to Have Skills:

• Experience in insurance domain or financial services industry in a consulting capacity
• Knowledge of Azure cloud services and deployment strategies
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
• Experience with automated testing frameworks (NUnit, xUnit, Jest)
