JOB SUMMARY
We are looking for a self-motivated, independent Senior Digital Marketing Strategist to lead our transition from outsourced agencies to an in-house marketing powerhouse. As our first internal marketing hire, you will be responsible for internalizing marketing efforts across 30+ locations, starting with a high-impact pilot program. You will manage all SEO, paid media, and local search strategies to drive organic growth and optimize our digital footprint.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Strategic Leadership: Build our internal marketing department from scratch, moving away from external firms to gain internal control.
- Local SEO & GMB Management: Develop and implement localized SEO strategies and manage Google Business Profile listings for 30+ practice locations.
- Multi-Channel Oversight: Manage SEO, SEM (PPC), and explore new channels, including planned TikTok campaigns.
- Performance Tracking: Execute tests, analyze data, and identify trends to achieve maximum ROI while avoiding "cannibalization" between nearby locations.
- Technical SEO: Research and implement SEO recommendations, ensuring best practices are met for site architecture and Google core updates.
- Budget Management: Manage campaign expenses, estimate monthly costs, and determine optimal spending levels across various channels.
- Collaboration: Work with our development and editorial teams to ensure SEO is baked into code and content programming.
REQUIREMENTS
Must-Haves
- Experience: At least 5+ years of proven experience in SEO and Digital Marketing.
- Fully bilingual: at least B2 English level.
- Local SEO Expertise: Deep knowledge of local organic search and managing multiple physical locations.
- Technical Proficiency: Solid understanding of HTML, CSS, JavaScript constraints, and website analytics tools like Google Analytics.
- Paid Media: Practical experience managing SEM/PPC campaigns across Meta, Google, Yahoo, and Bing.
- Autonomy: Must be a self-starter who can work independently and make high-level decisions without constant supervision.
- Schedule: Must be willing to work Monday to Friday, 9 AM – 6 PM Pacific Time.
- Communication: Good English communications, both written and verbal.
Good-to-Haves
- AI & Automation: Familiarity with AI marketing tools and a focus on tech-enabled automation.
- Experimentation: Experience with A/B and multivariate experiments.
- Tool Kit: Experience with bid management tools such as Marin or Kenshoo.
- Emerging Media: Experience or interest in launching and managing TikTok marketing campaigns.
