Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Senior Marketing Manager (Events) with a strong digital marketing background to lead the promotion of Gulf Energy Information's prestigious event portfolio. This role requires expertise in executing integrated digital marketing strategies, optimizing event promotion through data-driven decision-making, and leveraging HTML for email and web content edits.
The successful candidate will have deep experience in digital marketing, including email automation, paid media, SEO, and performance analytics. Additionally, they should be familiar with the global energy industry and possess the ability to tailor marketing efforts to industry trends and target audiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Digital-First Event Marketing Strategy – Develop and implement data-driven, multichannel digital marketing campaigns to maximize attendance and engagement for in-person events.
- Marketing Technology & Automation – Manage event registrations, audience segmentation, and automated campaigns through Cvent, Omeda, and other MarTech platforms.
- Email & Website Optimization – Edit and optimize event email templates (using HTML and CSS) and landing pages to enhance user experience and conversion rates.
- SEO & Paid Media – Leverage SEO best practices, paid search, display advertising, and social media campaigns to drive awareness and conversions.
- Content Strategy – Develop targeted content for email marketing, social media, and event websites, ensuring messaging aligns with energy industry trends and audience interests.
- Performance Analytics – Monitor, analyze, and report on key KPIs (open rates, conversions, ROAS, attendee engagement) to continually optimize marketing efforts.
- Collaboration & Industry Insight – Work closely with editorial, sales, and events teams to align marketing initiatives with business objectives.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Digital Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in digital marketing, with a proven track record in event marketing.
- Strong proficiency in HTML/CSS for email edits.
- Deep expertise in digital campaign management, including email marketing automation, SEO, paid media, and analytics.
- Experience using MarTech Platforms such as Omeda, Cvent, Hootsuite, and Google Analytics.
- Knowledge of the global energy industry and the ability to craft marketing messages for a B2B energy audience.
- Analytical mindset with experience in A/B testing and performance optimization.
- Exceptional project management skills, with the ability to multitask and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
