We’re a fast-growing conversational AI company with headquarters in Norway, on a mission to transform how people interact with technology. Our Voice team is expanding, and we’re looking for a talented Software Engineer with expertise in Python, SQL, and API protocols to join one of our offices: Sandnes, Oslo ( Norway), or Copenhagen ( Denmark), or Helsinki ( Finland) or Stockholm ( Sweden).

In this role, you will lead voice integration development, ensure that designs meet non-functional requirements, and provide guidance while mentoring team members. You’ll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to drive the success and competitiveness of our voice product.

What you will be doing:

  • Lead Technical Strategy: Play a key role in delivering our technical and architectural vision for our voice technology projects, ensuring every decision aligns with Boost.ai's strategic goals.
  • Innovate and Develop: Pioneer the development of new features and voice integrations, focusing on optimizing solution efficiency and delivering innovative, requirement-driven solutions in close partnership with stakeholders.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, external vendors, and customers to fully understand their needs and deliver impactful voice solutions.
  • Enhance Automation: Champion and implement robust testing tools and CI/CD practices to enhance development speed, agility, and quality.
  • Risk Management: Proactively identify, assess, and mitigate technical risks and challenges throughout the development lifecycle.
  • Foster Excellence: Participate in code reviews, drive continuous improvement initiatives, and actively promote knowledge sharing across the engineering team.
  • Serve as Subject Matter Expert: Act as an internal and external subject matter expert for our voice offering, translating development and maintenance needs into actionable plans.

What we are looking for: You’ll thrive in this role if you have:

  • Core Engineering Proficiency: Proven expertise in Python, SQL, and designing and implementing API integrations.
  • Cloud Deployment: Hands-on experience deploying and managing applications using modern CI/CD pipelines on major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
  • Production Operations: Demonstrated ability to monitor, troubleshoot, and ensure stability of deployments in high-availability production environments.
  • Voice and Telephony Knowledge: Solid understanding of CCaaS, telephony protocols, WebRTC, and fundamental speech technologies.
  • Conversational AI Background (Preferred): Prior experience in voice or conversational AI is a significant advantage.
  • Communication: Exceptional communication and collaborative skills, essential for working with diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • Educational Foundation: A degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a closely related technical field.
  • Passion for AI: A keen interest in the rapidly evolving landscape of the artificial intelligence industry.
