As a Software Engineer (Python/Vue) reporting to the Engineering Manager in our Engineering team, your purpose will be to help design, develop, and maintain high-quality software systems that enable our service providers to thrive and consumers to discover and book services. Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve working with fellow engineers and cross-functional teams to implement new features, improve existing systems, and ensure product stability while continuously enhancing the user experience.

Essentially, to ensure you succeed in this role you're going to need...

Strong experience with Python and a deep understanding of its syntax and features
Solid experience working with PostgreSQL and optimising database performance
Experience with Vue.js, and proficiency in frameworks like Jest for testing
Ability to write comprehensive unit tests and experience in test-driven development (TDD)

At a minimum we require conversational level English language skills. Why? English is our company language and is used for any business-wide communications, so we need you to be able to speak English to feel like an integrated part of Booksy.

Familiarity with Docker for containerisation
Experience with Elasticsearch, including indexing, querying, and performance tuning
Understanding of CI/CD processes and tools such as GitLab CI or Bitrise
