The Role

The Bookipi Group is looking for an experienced Senior Data Analyst for our Bookipi products. Bookipi is the easiest tool for small businesses to run their business from anywhere.

This is a unique opportunity for the successful candidate. You will apply your existing skills, develop a deeper understanding of cutting edge tools, get exposure to big data and AI applications in a practical setting, and take your skills to the next level.

You will be responsible for the data analysis for Bookipi products alongside our current analysts, data engineer, and developers. Our platform and product suite continues to grow and we are needing to increase our capabilities. Ensuring our OLTP is cleanly reflected as OLAP data for accurate reporting, providing detailed analysis and insights, along with fulfilling requests from product and the leadership team. Your insights will enable you to develop tests and hypotheses to put into action.

We are a Remote First company and allow full Work From Home.

Key Actions & Duties

• Develop, maintain, run, and optimise queries, dashboards, reports, and data visualizations to present findings to stakeholders.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand their data needs and provide analytical support, reporting, and extracts.
• Collect, clean, and analyze large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and insights.
• Perform statistical analysis and predictive modeling to inform business strategies.
• Monitor and ensure the accuracy and integrity of data.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and recommend data-driven solutions.
• Stay updated with industry trends and best practices in data analysis.
• Extracting customer lists for campaigns.
• Providing data driven insights and recommendations for action.
• Forecast, derive cause-effect relationships, form hypotheses based on data, and make recommendations for tests and improvements.

Skill & Experience Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years experience as a Data Analyst in a tech or startup environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, or a related field. A master’s degree is a plus. Certification in data analysis or related fields.
• Proficiency in data analysis tools and software such as SQL, Excel, R, Python, or SAS.
• Experience working with BigQuery (must), Google Sheets, Hevo, Amplitude (must), and SQL for reporting
• Experience with data visualisation tools Looker (must)
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets.
• Excellent communication skills to effectively convey insights to non-technical stakeholders.
• Knowledge of statistical methods and techniques.
• Detail-oriented with strong organisational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Bonus: Familiarity with big data technologies is a plus.
