Lifecycle Marketing Manager

Remote | $75,000–$95,000 DOE + Performance Incentives

At BMO Media, we help ecommerce brands turn first-time buyers into lifelong customers through Email, SMS, Loyalty & Referrals, Direct Mail, and Push. We're looking for an experienced Lifecycle Marketing Manager who can independently lead client accounts, develop impactful retention strategies, and translate performance insights into measurable growth.

This is a strategic, client-facing role for someone who thrives in an agency environment, enjoys solving complex marketing challenges, and knows how to balance big-picture thinking with execution.

Previous agency experience managing multiple ecommerce lifecycle/retention marketing clients is required. Candidates with exclusively in-house experience will not be considered.

What You'll Do

Lifecycle Strategy & Performance

• Own email and SMS strategy across a portfolio of ecommerce client accounts.
• Develop lifecycle roadmaps spanning campaigns, automated flows, segmentation, personalization, and testing.
• Analyze performance, identify growth opportunities, and deliver actionable recommendations that improve retention, repeat purchase, and revenue.
• Connect lifecycle initiatives to broader client business objectives and continuously refine strategy based on results.

Client Leadership

• Serve as the primary strategic advisor, building trusted relationships with clients.
• Lead client meetings, performance reviews, and strategic planning discussions with confidence.
• Proactively communicate opportunities, risks, and recommendations while managing expectations and navigating challenging conversations.
• Take ownership of account health, client satisfaction, and long-term success.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Partner with project managers, copywriters, designers, and developers to translate strategy into execution.
• Provide clear creative and technical direction, strategic feedback, and quality assurance.
• Help troubleshoot account challenges, prioritize initiatives, and keep deliverables aligned with client goals.

Required Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in lifecycle, retention, CRM, email, or SMS marketing.
• Previous agency experience independently managing lifecycle marketing strategy across multiple ecommerce client accounts. This is a firm requirement.
• Deep working knowledge of Klaviyo, including flows, campaigns, segmentation, reporting, and optimization.
• Proven ability to develop strategies, interpret performance data, and translate insights into measurable business outcomes.
• Strong client leadership and presentation skills, including experience advising senior stakeholders and navigating difficult conversations.
• Ability to independently manage competing priorities in a fast-paced, multi-client agency environment.
• Proactive, solutions-oriented mindset with strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Nice to Have

• Experience with other ESPs such as Customer.io, SFMC, Iterable, Attentive, Braze
• Experience with Shopify app ecosystem
• Experience with loyalty, referral, subscription, or other retention programs.
• Familiarity with advanced ecommerce analytics and customer lifecycle measurement.
