Principal Software Engineer (AI)

This is a fulltime opportunity and this role is NOT open to C2C, OPT, or Visa consideration. No vendor support (of any kind) needed.

Position Overview:

Seeking an experienced Software Engineer with over a decade of experience, including a strong recent emphasis on leveraging machine learning and AI technologies to address real-world challenges. The ideal candidate has successfully designed and deployed advanced AI-driven solutions in production, and is passionate about applying data and algorithms to create scalable, business-aligned systems.

Key Qualifications:

• 10+ years of professional experience in software development with a focus on applied AI and machine learning.
• Proven experience architecting and deploying sophisticated AI applications in real-world environments.
• Deep knowledge of machine learning techniques, statistical analysis, and data modeling.
• Hands-on experience with large language models (LLMs) and other pre-trained AI tools.
• Proficient with major cloud environments; experience with Google Cloud Platform is especially valued.
• Skilled in constructing robust data pipelines and working with high-volume datasets.
• Demonstrated ability to quickly adopt emerging tools and technologies.

Technical Expertise:

• Expert programming skills in Elixir, along with relevant frameworks and libraries.
• Strong grounding in data engineering fundamentals.
• Experience with various database systems and data warehousing solutions.
• Familiarity with web development tools such as React and TypeScript is advantageous.
• Experience building AI solutions using APIs and model-serving infrastructure.

Leadership & Collaboration:

• Capable of defining and communicating technical direction in collaborative settings.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with a focus on team-based problem solving.
• Comfortable influencing technical decisions across teams without formal authority.
• Able to bridge the gap between business objectives and technical implementations.

Education:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a closely related field.
