A UK-based, high-growth AML (Anti-Money Laundering) compliance SaaS platform with a 40% market share among the UK’s top law firms. With backing from top-tier VCs and a product known as the “gold standard” in AML, our client are expanding into Australia to support law firms and other regulated entities through a sweeping wave of compliance reform.
Australia’s mid-market legal sector is largely unprepared for these changes. Our client is here to change that - using technology, education, and smart partnerships to modernise AML compliance in Australia.
The Role
The Regional Marketing Lead will own the Australian go-to-market narrative. As the first dedicated marketeer in Australia, you will work closely with UK GTM and executive leadership, and strategic partners to define and execute a market-specific strategy. This role blends partner marketing, messaging & ICP development, partner enablement & community building, and is ideal for someone who thrives in early-stage, high-impact environments.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Define and execute localised go-to-market strategy for Australia alongside product and sales.
- Build and deliver assets for tech partners, consultants, and advisory boards.
- Train third-party evangelists and enable partners to represent our client confidently.
- Define and craft compelling messaging, and positioning tailored to the legal market (often professionals new to AML tech).
- Support events, webinars, and campaigns to establish thought leadership in legal compliance.
- Collaborate with UK-based marketing team, including demand gen, content, digital and product specialists, while maintaining autonomy in Australia.
- Influence and shape the Australian brand narrative - not just port over UK assets.
Requirements
- 5 - 10+ years marketing experience with a solid product marketing flair.
- Proven experience in partner marketing and go-to-market launches.
- Gravitas and confidence to engage with senior legal stakeholders.
- Highly autonomous, entrepreneurial mindset - comfortable being a “first on the ground” hire.
- A "builder" mentality with the foresight to balance today's needs with the bigger picture.
- Excellent storytelling skills - able to distill technical concepts into accessible, localised messaging.
- Emotional intelligence to manage multiple stakeholders and guide firms through change.
- Must be Sydney based
Nice-to-Haves
- Experience marketing to regulated industries (e.g. legal, banking, accountancy) or understanding AML/Tranche 2 reforms.
- LegalTech, FinTech ReTech experience
- You've been successful in a first in region role
