Position Overview:

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Senior Product Designer to join our team on a volunteer basis. As a Senior Product Designer, you will play a pivotal role in conceptualizing, designing, and implementing digital products and platforms aimed at enhancing mental health awareness and support within the Black community. This is a remote position, and candidates from all locations are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities:

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements, user needs, and business objectives.

Lead the design process from concept to execution, including ideation, wireframing, prototyping, and visual design.

Create intuitive and visually compelling user interfaces for web and mobile applications.

Conduct user research, usability testing, and iterate designs based on feedback and data-driven insights.

Develop design systems, component libraries, and style guides to ensure consistency and scalability across products.

Work closely with developers to ensure successful implementation of designs, and provide support during the development cycle.

Stay informed about industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in product design and user experience.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or related field. Master's degree is a plus.

Minimum of 5 years of experience in product design, with a focus on digital products and platforms.

Proficiency in design tools such as Sketch, Adobe XD, Figma, or similar.

Strong portfolio showcasing a range of design projects, with an emphasis on user-centered design principles.

Experience working in agile development environments and collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Excellent communication skills and ability to articulate design decisions and rationale.

Passion for mental health advocacy and a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
