Senior Software Engineer

The Senior Software Engineer will work directly with our COO, building core features and infrastructure for Bitesize. You will be responsible for imagining solutions to interesting problems and pushing top-flight code, as well as collaborating with staff from marketing and product. This is a full-time position with a healthy base salary ($100-120k), benefits, equity, great work/life balance and potential for growth in responsibilities and compensation. This position is US-based, but fully remote.

Your Mission & Responsibilities:

• Design core, backend software components, writing product and system development code
• Build new infrastructure, features, and integrations, in addition to maintaining/improving existing code
• Triage product or system issues and debug/track/resolve by analyzing the sources of issues and the impact on network or service operations and quality
• Review code developed by other developers and provide feedback to ensure best practices (e.g., style guidelines, checking code in, accuracy, testability, and efficiency)
• Contribute to existing documentation or educational content and adapt content based on product/program updates and user feedback
• Interface and collaborate with non-technical team-members to incorporate their innovations and vice versa

Minimum qualifications:

• 5-8+ years of programming experience with proficiency in Python, AWS
• 4+ years relevant experience building large-scale infrastructure applications or similar experience
• 3+ years of experience with data structures or algorithms in either an academic or industry setting
• 3+ years of experience with developing large-scale infrastructure, distributed systems or networks, or experience with compute technologies, storage or hardware architecture
• Experience building full CI/CD pipelines with automated testing (unit, integration, functional, and end to end tests)
• You’ve built something functional from scratch that was successfully deployed to real users

Preferred qualifications:

• Expertise with Twilio, Bandwidth, and other communication software suites
• Experience with Angular
• Experience in the automotive industry
• Experience working with automotive CRMs
