Position Description: Part-Time UI/UX Designer (Web3 / Cross-Platform)

Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced part-time UI/UX Designer to define and shape the user experience of our next-generation UTXO-based blockchain platform and its application ecosystem. You will create beautiful, intuitive, and consistent interfaces that will be implemented across mobile, desktop, and web platforms by our development team primarily using Kotlin Compose.

This is a fully remote, part-time role (~15–25 hours/week) with flexible hours.

Key Responsibilities

• Design high-fidelity, responsive user interfaces and interactive prototypes that adjust to different screen orientations and size across mobile, desktop, and web.
• Build and evolve a comprehensive, scalable design system (components, tokens, typography, colour, motion, dark mode, accessibility) that ensures visual and behavioural consistency across all platforms.
• Craft clear, secure, and trustworthy experiences for complex Web3 workflows.

Deliver detailed specifications, user flows, interaction designs, and production-ready assets that developers can implement accurately.

• Collaborate closely with management, marketing and development to balance user needs, business goals, and technical constraints.
• Contribute to branding, marketing assets, landing pages, and onboarding experiences when needed.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional UI/UX design experience with a strong portfolio showcasing modern, clean interfaces (mobile-first and cross-platform projects strongly preferred).
• Expert-level mastery of prototyping tools (components, variants, auto-layout, prototyping, design tokens, branching).
• Deep knowledge of current design trends, interaction patterns, and platform conventions (iOS Human Interface Guidelines, Material Design, desktop, and responsive web).
• Proven ability to design complex financial or cryptocurrency products (wallets, exchanges, DeFi, etc.) or similarly interfaces.
• Exceptional visual craft: layout, typography, colour systems, iconography, illustration, and micro-interactions.
• Strong understanding of accessibility (WCAG) design principles.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for remote, asynchronous collaboration.

Desirable Skills

• Previous experience designing blockchain-related applications.
• Familiarity with UTXO-based blockchains and their specific UX challenges.
• Interest in privacy, self-custody, and decentralization philosophies.

Qualifications

• Degree in Design, HCI, Interaction Design, or equivalent professional experience.
• Available approximately 15–25 hours per week, with some availability during US and European time zones preferred.
