Software Engineer

Summary

We are looking for a Software Engineer that would help us in delivering one of Proximus Global’s mission critical solutions.

Responsibilities

• Develop new functionalities within a complex system which ensures accuracy and delivery of multi-million $ invoices to some of the larger Web properties in the world – combination of both front-end and back-end development. Our tech stack revolves mostly around Python and SQL, but also includes AWS, Django, Glue/Spark, React, gRPC, Rest, Snowflake...
• Help transition from on-premise solution to performant cloud based solution on AWS with modern architecture using contemporary technologies, microservices and containerization
• Stay up to date with coding standards and relevant technology development and help choose the best technology for the situation in coordination with the team lead and architect
• Use AI coding tools responsibly and judiciously to enhance productivity while ensuring code quality, security, and alignment with engineering standards.
• Help safeguard our systems by actively contributing to test automation efforts that improve reliability, detect issues early, and uphold quality standards across the codebase.
• Provide direction, guidance and mentoring to less experienced individuals on the team
• Work as a member of a scrum team.

Requirements

• University Degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
• 3+ years of hands-on software development experience with OOP languages (Python, Java, C#...)
• 3+ years of hands-on experience with SQL and relational database development and design
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
• Hands-on experience with cloud-based technologies is a plus.
• Experience with Python is a plus.
• Experience with AI coding tools is a plus.
• Experience with front-end technologies and platforms, such as React, JavaScript, HTML5 and CSS3 is a plus.
• Experience with Linux platforms is a plus.
• Experience working within an agile team is a plus.
• Fluency in English, verbal and written.
