About Us -

India has 1.4 billion people. Over a billion of them don't communicate primarily in English. Yet almost every AI system in the world was built as if they do.

BharatGen exists to change that.

We are India's first government-funded sovereign AI initiative, building foundational multimodal large language models across 22+ Indic languages, spanning text, speech, and document vision. We are a Section 8 not-for-profit, backed by the Department of Science and Technology and the IndiaAI Mission (MeitY), and spearheaded by IIT Bombay alongside a consortium of India's most respected institutions including IIT Madras, IIT Kanpur, IIT Kharagpur, IIIT Hyderabad, and IIM Indore.

We are not building another app. We are building the infrastructure that will define how a billion Indians interact with AI, in their own languages, on their own terms.

Our models, Param2, Shrutam2, Sooktam2, and Patram, are live and being deployed across governance, healthcare, education, and enterprise sectors right now.

The Opportunity -

Most design work disappears into the feed. You spend weeks on something and it gets three seconds of attention before someone scrolls past. This is different.

BharatGen is building the AI infrastructure that will define how a billion Indians interact with technology, in their own languages, on their own terms. PM Modi unveiled our models at the India AI Summit. The work is consequential, the audience is vast, and the visual language to match it does not exist yet.

That is the brief. And it is yours if you want it.

What you will do -

• Design social creatives and campaign assets for LinkedIn, X, and YouTube that stop the scroll and tell a story
• Produce motion graphics and short-form video content that make complex AI concepts feel human and accessible
• Own all presentation templates, pitch decks, event collateral, and partner-facing materials, the assets that represent BharatGen in boardrooms and government offices
• Build and maintain a visual system that keeps every touchpoint consistent, from a LinkedIn post to a conference backdrop
• Brief and push back on campaign ideas with the Social Media Executive and Head of Marketing, you are the creative perspective in the room, not just the executor
• Translate technical model launches, research milestones, and partnership announcements into visual narratives that land with diverse audiences
• Take ownership of BharatGen's brand evolution over time, working with the Head of Marketing to define what the next chapter of our visual identity looks like

What are we looking for -

• You have 4+ years of experience and a portfolio that shows range, rigour, and a strong point of view
• You are visually obsessive. You notice design everywhere, follow the right people, and have an instinct for what good looks like across industries not just your own work
• You are fluent in Adobe Creative Suite and After Effects. Motion graphics is a real skill you use regularly, not something you did once
• You are AI-native. Your taste and craft lead, and you use AI tools to eliminate the tedious and repetitive so your energy goes toward work that actually requires judgment
• You can translate complex, technical ideas into visuals that are clear, compelling, and beautiful. That is a specific skill and you have it
• You are present in the design community, whether on Behance, Dribbble, Are.na, or design X, you are engaged not just observing
• You think strategically about design, not just aesthetically. You ask why before you ask how
• Basic Webflow or WordPress capability is a plus

Good to have -

• You have designed for technically complex or research-heavy organizations where you had to make difficult ideas accessible
• You have experience with or an understanding of design systems, not just one-off assets
• You come from a computer science, engineering, or technical background and made the switch to design, or are enthusiastic about AI, deep tech, open-source, or developer ecosystems.
