Data Scientist (Freelance / Project-Based)

We are building a freelance Data Scientist talent pool for upcoming project-based assignments.

This is not a continuous full-time position. We are looking for experienced Data Scientists who are available to support us on a project-by-project basis, depending on client needs. Projects may vary in duration — for example, a specific assignment could require around 1–2 weeks of support, while some projects may be longer.

When a relevant project becomes available, we will reach out to suitable freelancers to discuss the scope, availability, timeline and hourly rate before starting the assignment.

You will support projects involving advanced analytical models across the sports and physical activity sector, including supply and demand modelling, optimised pricing, sensitivity analysis, forecasting and other predictive applications. You will apply machine learning and AI-driven approaches to extract insights from large, complex datasets and help clients make data-informed decisions.

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience in a Data Analytics or Data Science role, preferably with exposure to pricing, demand modelling, forecasting or similar areas.
• Proficiency in Python, R and/or SQL for data extraction and manipulation.
• Professional level of English.
• Availability to take on short-term, project-based freelance assignments when needed.

Desirable

• Experience working with geospatial data and spatial analysis techniques (e.g. ArcGIS).
• Familiarity with data visualisation tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
• Experience working in stakeholder-facing roles or consulting environments.
• Familiarity with reproducible analytical workflows and version control systems (e.g. Git).
• An innovative mindset with an interest in applying emerging technologies to real-world challenges.
