Job Description:

*We are seeking an experienced Senior Developer with a strong technical background in check processing systems and extensive experience in developing and supporting technology solutions within the banking or financial services industry.

*This role requires an individual with a deep understanding of payment processing, image-based check handling, and integration of financial technologies.

*As a Senior Developer, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-performance and scalable solutions for Alogent.

Key Responsibilities:

*Design, develop, and maintain robust check processing systems and applications tailored to financial institutions.

*Collaborate with the product management team to understand and translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.

*Ensure high availability, reliability, and performance of check processing applications and related systems.

*Integrate and support third-party applications and services as part of the solution ecosystem.

*Lead the technical design and development of new features, enhancements, and support initiatives for payment processing workflows.

*Conduct code reviews and provide mentorship to junior developers, ensuring adherence to best practices and coding standards.

*Troubleshoot, analyze, and resolve complex technical issues related to check processing and payment systems.

*Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in check processing and payment automation.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

*3+ years of experience as a software developer, with specific expertise in check processing systems and payment processing.

*Proven experience with image-based check handling and check truncation technologies.

*Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, C++, C#, or Python.

*Strong knowledge of database management systems (SQL Server, Oracle, or similar) and database design.

*Familiarity with financial industry standards and compliance, including NACHA and Check 21 guidelines.

*Experience in cloud-based architecture and deployment, ideally with platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
