We’re looking for a dynamic and passionate Direct Mail Marketing Director to lead our Customer Acquisition efforts across multiple products. The Direct Mail Marketing Director will report directly to the Chief Marketing Officer and will be responsible for growing both the Best Egg customer base and loan originations in the Direct Mail Channel for our installment lending products. Beyond running one of Best Egg’s most important marketing channels, the Marketing Director will also collaborate with other channel marketers to define the right multi-channel marketing strategy to engage our pre-screened prospects.

The Direct Mail Marketing Director will also be responsible for managing bureau relationships for the organization, DM letter shops, and other partnerships to advance the Direct Mail agenda. They will also work with a cross-functional team of data scientists, credit risk, analytics, creative/brand managers, and other marketers to deliver best-in-class multi-channel marketing campaigns that drive efficient growth. We are looking for a highly proficient marketing strategist that isn’t afraid to get their hands dirty to get the job done.

Duties & Responsibilities

- Strategy Development: Build and execute a comprehensive direct mail marketing strategy to support customer acquisition and retention goals.
- Campaign Management: Oversee end-to-end campaign execution, including audience segmentation, creative development, production, and mailing logistics.
- Data-Driven Decision Making: Analyze campaign performance metrics, customer data, and market trends to optimize targeting, messaging, and offer strategies.
- Vendor Management: Manage relationships with external vendors, including print houses, data providers, and mail fulfillment partners.
- Budget Oversight: Develop and manage the direct mail budget, ensuring cost efficiency and ROI optimization.
- Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams such as product marketing, creative, and analytics to align messaging and branding across channels.
- Compliance and Quality Control: Ensure all campaigns meet regulatory guidelines and brand standards.

Requirements

- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field; MBA preferred.
- 10+ years of experience in direct mail or direct response marketing, preferably in the fintech, financial services, or subscription-based industries.
- Proven track record of leading successful customer acquisition campaigns through offline channels.
- Strong analytical skills and experience with customer segmentation, data analysis, and performance measurement.
- Excellent project management skills with the ability to manage multiple campaigns simultaneously.
- Experience managing external vendors and negotiating contracts.
- Familiarity with CRM platforms and marketing automation tools.
- Exceptional communication and leadership skills.

$160,000 - $180,000 a year

In addition to semi-monthly salary payments, this position is also eligible for an annual incentive bonus based on individual and company performance. Yearly incentive bonus target 25% of base salary. This role is also eligible for an LTIP bonus.
