Best Buy™ India is seeking an Experience Designer to play a key role in delivering software products for Best Buy’s In-Home Order Fulfilment - Worksite team. You will work with Product Managers, User Experience Designers, Architects, and other team members to modernize and build products that align to the product team’s vision and strategy. The engineering of these products will leverage multi-cloud platforms, human centered design, Agile and DevOps principles to deliver industry leading solutions at high velocity with unrivaled quality. You will work on a team of talented software professionals, leading by example, and mentoring others. All of this will be done by embracing inclusive behaviors, working through ambiguity, demonstrating a strong attention to detail, and thriving in a fast-paced environment.

Teams Overview:

The In-Home Order Fulfilment - Worksite team is a cross-functional group of engineers, product managers, and designers dedicated to delivering seamless, innovative, and user-centric mobile app & web experiences. Our mission is to craft intuitive and high-performing mobile app & web features that delight users and drive engagement. This team defines and prioritizes feature initiatives aligned with business goals and user needs. Our designers create elegant, accessible, and responsive interfaces. Our engineers build and maintain robust, scalable, and performant mobile applications using modern development frameworks and tools. We continuously gather user feedback, run experiments, and iterate quickly to improve app & web functionality and usability. Whether it’s iOS, Android, hybrid, or Web solutions, we ensure consistent quality and performance across all devices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Communicate the design intent to define the experience across one to two product and/or project teams focusing on digital channels with exposure and support of multi-channel experiences.
  • Assists the primary designer in defining the supporting strategy across one to two product and/or project teams to create multi-channel experiences across physical and digital channel touchpoints.
  • Understands Service Design, Design Thinking, and Human Centered Design to meet the evolving needs of the business, the customer, the employee and the brand.
  • Ability to translate business goals and product requirements into a cohesive and consistent experience.
  • Participate in a culture of collaboration, feedback, and continuous improvement.
  • Continuous improvement of the customer experiences related to assigned product and/or project team(s).
  • Knowledge of various brand guidelines, pattern conventions and standards, and process efficiencies related to quality assurance and center or excellence/discipline maturity.
  • Work well independently.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in human-Centered Design, Product Design, Human Computer Interaction, Graphic Design, Information Architecture, related field, or equivalent industry experience.
  • Proven experience as a UX designer for at least 4+ years or 6+ years in a design related role, with a strong portfolio showcasing your design work for web and/or mobile applications. Including:
  • 2+ years of experience in eCommerce or large, multi-channel environments.
  • Proficiency in experience design principles, frameworks, and methodologies.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to articulate design concepts and collaborate cross-functionally.

Preferred:

  • Proficiency in industry-standard design tools such as Sketch, Figma, Adobe Suite, Axure, or In Vision.
