Job Description
As a DevOps Engineer, you will develop and maintain scalable, automated infrastructure solutions supporting SAP-integrated projects. You will design and optimize CI/CD pipelines, ensuring seamless deployments, and work closely with development and operations teams to enhance system reliability, security, and performance.
How You Will Contribute:
- Project Governance & Release Management: Oversee operational responsibilities required to deliver projects and software releases, ensuring alignment with client’s governance standards.
- Stakeholder Alignment: Conduct alignment sessions with senior leaders and other stakeholders to confirm that release schedules match business objectives.
- Release Roadmap Communication: Communicate the release roadmap to both internal and external stakeholders, ensuring clarity and synchronization.
- Influence and Leadership: delivery and governance experience in SAP software delivery lifecycle to influence leadership, projects, and cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Infrastructure as Code: Develop and maintain infrastructure using Terraform to ensure scalability, reliability, and security.
- CI/CD Pipelines: Design, implement, and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, automating builds, testing, and deployments.
- Release Management: Plan, schedule, and execute software releases efficiently, ensuring minimal disruptions.
- Cloud Technologies: Work with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP (experience in these is a plus).
- Monitoring & Logging: Implement and maintain monitoring and logging solutions to proactively identify and resolve issues.
- Collaboration: Work closely with development, QA, and operations teams to ensure smooth workflows and efficient collaboration.
- Agile Methodologies: Apply Scrum or Kanban methodologies and tools like Jira and Jira Align to manage and track development progress.
- Communication & Leadership: Interact with stakeholders, ensuring alignment of project goals and release schedules with business objectives.
What You Bring:
- End-to-End Business & Functional Knowledge in software delivery lifecycle, particularly SAP projects.
- Strong expertise in infrastructure and technical aspects of SAP systems and middleware platforms.
- Excellent problem-solving and leadership skills in navigating a complex, matrixed organization.
- Ability to strategically plan and execute software releases with cross-functional alignment.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English and Spanish.
Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field.
- 3+ years of experience as a DevOps Engineer or similar role.
- Strong experience with Git and GitHub, including GitHub Actions.
- Proficiency in Terraform and infrastructure-as-code principles.
- Experience in CI/CD automation and DevOps best practices.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) is a plus.
- Understanding of security best practices, including SAST and DAST tools.
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python or Bash.
- Experience working with Agile methodologies and tools like Jira and Jira Align.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
- Passion for continuous learning and technology improvements.
- Experience developing and maintaining scalable, automated infrastructure solutions supporting SAP-integrated projects is preferred.
- Advanced written and spoken English, native Spanish or vice versa.
- Applicants must be located in México City, México (the office is located in Santa Fe).
Additional Information
- Employment Type: Independent Contractor (This type of contract does not include PTO, tax deductions, or insurance. It only includes the monthly payment corresponding to the hours worked).
- Contract duration: Fixed Term of 2 years, extension based on performance.
- Work Mode: Hybrid. The position is remote, but it requires visiting the office once a month.
- Time zone and work schedule: Full-time, 8 hours per day, 40 hours per week (Monday through Friday), Mexico City time zone.
- Location: Santa Fé, Mexico.
- Joining: Immediate after signing the contract.
- Language Proficiency: English, Spanish (Bilingual).
- Note: No relocation support available.
- Rate x hour: we´re open to negotiate.
