Aerospace Software Engineer

Job Title: Senior Software Engineer – DO-178C Compliance

Location: Remote (Hybrid preferred if in Phoenix, AZ)

Role Overview:

BEPC is seeking a seasoned Senior Software Engineer to support the surface alerts initiative within the Enhanced Ground Proximity Warning System product line. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in DO-178C software standards and the full software development lifecycle, alongside robust C++ development skills for real-time operating systems. This role involves creating and reviewing critical certification documents aligned with industry and OEM standards (e.g., Airbus), and developing application-level C++ code for high-integrity software environments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Author and review certification documents including PSAC, SDD, SWCIA, and other client-specific documentation.
• Develop and maintain C++ code for real-time embedded applications.
• Ensure DO-178C compliance throughout software design, development, verification, and validation.
• Support the SURF-A initiative and other avionics-related projects like Datalink.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including systems, test, and quality engineers.

Qualifications:

• Extensive experience with DO-178C software lifecycle processes.
• Proven record of creating and reviewing aviation software certification documents.
• Proficiency in C++ for real-time, embedded application development.
• Familiarity with OEM and aviation standards, especially those specific to Airbus.
• Strong analytical, documentation, and communication skills.
