Summary:

Beazley Security is seeking an experienced Senior Software Engineer / Site Reliability Engineer to design innovative, secure scalable solutions that support our cybersecurity mission.

As a key member of our global team, you will work across the full stack, contributing to the development and automation of tooling and continual improvement of existing systems while collaborating with engineers and stakeholders across the U.S. and Europe. This role will play a critical part in the continued improvement, scalable development, and support of our Incident Response team and their infrastructure. Incident Response is a key service that Beazley Security offers to our clients, and the infrastructure is critical to its success. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated self-starter to make a significant impact in a dynamic, agile, and fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Infrastructure Management: Create and maintain secure and stable cloud infrastructure to support applications and tools used by internal teams.
• Back-End / Automation Development: Develop scalable and efficient back-end solutions utilizing code and infrastructure that is maintainable and scalable.
• Problem Solving: Monitor, identify, troubleshoot, and resolve infrastructure and software bugs and issues promptly to maintain a first-class service for our stakeholders.
• Collaboration: Work closely with engineers, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams across the U.S. and Europe to deliver impactful projects.
• Balance: Ensure agile development and reliability with well-defined service-level objectives.
• Improve: Continually update processes, infrastructure, and code to ensure constant and iterative improvement.

Qualifications:

• Coding / Automation Skills: Proficiency in Python / Golang and Terraform with a proven ability to write production-quality code.
• Cloud Expertise: Experience managing production environments in Azure and AWS; familiarity with other cloud platforms is a plus.
• Configuration Management: Strong knowledge of Terraform or similar configuration management systems with expertise in configuration as code.
• Containerization: Experience creating and running containerized workloads such as ECS or Kubernetes.
• Self-Motivation: A proactive self-starter with excellent problem-solving skills who can work independently or in a team setting.
• Team Player: Collaborative mindset and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
