THE ROLE: Senior Software Development Engineer (Backend)

We are supporting the search for a talented and self-motivated Senior Software Engineer to join this company's Backend team. This role will play a critical part in designing and building systems that process petabytes of observability data daily.

Key Responsibilities:

Design and develop high-performance, secure, and scalable software solutions.
Write clean, well-tested, and maintainable code.
Enhance internal development tooling to support a best-in-class engineering environment.
Manage projects end-to-end - from gathering requirements to deployment and monitoring.
Collaborate with the support team to address customer issues efficiently.
Mentor junior engineers and support their career growth.

Ideal Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (Master's or PhD is a plus!).
5+ years of experience with modern development stacks and tools (Git, CI/CD pipelines, automated build and test frameworks).
Strong experience in developing and operating production systems.
Proficient in designing and building REST APIs for high-volume applications.
Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal.

Preferred Experience:

Familiarity with observability tools such as Datadog, Splunk, SumoLogic, or Elastic.
Expertise in Golang, JavaScript/TypeScript, and/or Python.
Hands-on experience with modern DevOps tools and environments: Kubernetes, Terraform, Docker, AWS/Azure.
In-depth knowledge of distributed systems and data pipelines.
Experience contributing to or maintaining open-source projects.
