Job Title: UX/UI Designer
Location: NYC, NY or Austin, TX (Onsite), Remote for right candidates
Job Description:
About our ideal candidate:
We are looking for an Interaction Designer who thrives on challenging multi-dimensional projects. Someone who can see the bigger vision of a suite of applications and sweats the details of each micro interaction. Someone who can clearly convey their work to teams and clients alike.
Designers here work directly with end-users, client-side teams, third-party developers, in-house designers, creative technologists, and program managers. Our ideal candidates are inspired by the world around them, new ways of approaching design solutions, and thrive on the challenge of design.
Role and responsibilities:
- Work directly with the Creative Director or Associate Creative Director to articulate design strategy and systems through a series of artifacts (ie screens, diagrams, journey maps, presentation slides).
- Build compelling interaction solutions that solve both user’s needs, usability, and client’s business needs.
- Conduct relevant secondary research, as well as participate in discovery activities like extracting insights from interviews through synthesis.
- Craft customer journeys and service blueprints.
- Articulate personas or archetypes or gather an understanding of audiences from client-provided segmentation.
- Design interaction models, components and pattern libraries.
- Prototyping screen flows in Figma, Invision or similar software.
- Contribute to developing and delivering client presentations.
About you:
- You have 5 to 7 years’ experience as a professional UX designer.
- You have a portfolio full of smart approaches to interaction design in a variety of digital applications, which clearly show your process, design utility, and ease of use.
- You are passionate about design and constantly seeking to expand your knowledge, grow your skills, and find new ways to create, produce, and deliver interaction design solutions.
- You are a dynamic, visually oriented, and tech-savvy problem solver who comes highly recommended by your past collaborators.
- You have real empathy and respect for your audience of end-users as demonstrated by your sensitivity to emotion and storytelling.
- You have excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to clearly articulate the rationale behind design decisions.
