Job Title: Sr. Specialist, Data Scientist (L4)

Location: Huntsville, AL (preferred) | Canoga Park, CA or Remote (for the right candidate)

Duration: 6-Month Contract (Potential for Extension/Conversion)

About the Role

We are seeking a Sr. Specialist, Data Scientist (L4) to support a high-impact analytics function within L3Harris Technologies. This role focuses on transforming complex operational, supply chain, and financial data into actionable insights that drive program performance and decision-making.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in business intelligence, data modeling, and analytics, with the ability to deliver scalable dashboards and communicate insights to cross-functional stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead analytics and business intelligence initiatives aligned with program goals and stakeholder priorities
• Design, develop, and maintain Power BI dashboards, reports, and KPI frameworks for leadership visibility
• Perform data extraction, transformation, and analysis using platforms such as Snowflake, Palantir, and enterprise systems
• Partner with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and translate them into data solutions
• Identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for process improvement across operations and supply chain
• Support data governance, data quality, and documentation for self-service analytics
• Collaborate with data engineering and IT teams to ensure data pipelines and systems meet business requirements
• Present insights and recommendations to leadership and non-technical stakeholders
• Manage and prioritize work using tools such as Azure DevOps or Jira

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 6+ years of experience in data analytics, or a Master’s degree with 4+ years, or equivalent experience
• Strong experience with relational databases, including Oracle
• Hands-on experience with Snowflake, Palantir, and/or Alteryx
• Advanced proficiency in Power BI for dashboard and report development
• Strong SQL skills for data extraction and manipulation
• Ability to communicate complex data insights in clear business terms

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in aerospace, defense, manufacturing, or supply chain environments
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP
• Experience with Azure DevOps or Jira for project tracking
• Knowledge of data warehousing and data architecture best practices
• Experience with Python or JavaScript is a plus
