ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
Required Qualifications, include:
Bookkeeping Proficiency:
- Extensive experience with cleanups and using a methodical approach.
- Thorough expertise and experience with accrual-based accounting
- Accounts Payable (bill entry and payment)
- Accounts Receivable (invoicing and follow-up)
- Job costing and/or project tracking
- Payroll processing, reporting, and recording
- Sales tax preparation and filing for multiple states
- Creating journal entries with clear and accurate supporting documentation
- Syncing of data across multiple software applications to ensure accuracy
- Ability to read a Schedule C, 1065, and 1120 and match to QB records
- Ability to create, maintain, and follow standard operating procedures
- Perform peer-review quality assurance checks and communicate questions or corrections with co-workers as needed
- 5+ years as a Bookkeeper or accountant
Strategic Experience:
- Initiating, cultivating, and managing direct customer/client relationships
- Thorough understanding of accounting principles, including the ability to analyze and explain the balance sheet and P&L in lay terms to clients
- Evaluating client data, and ability to make strategic recommendations to improve processes in collaboration with the management team
- Expertise in and 3+ years with QuickBooks Online
- 3+ years as a full charge bookkeeper managing multiple clients and industries simultaneously, demonstrating ability to manage high volume/variety of work in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities
Skills & Attributes:
- Strong interpersonal skills with the desire to contribute and collaborate as a team player, internally and externally
- Self-driven and able to self-manage; ability to stay on task and prioritize deadlines
- Detail-oriented, extreme organization, methodical, and strong decision-making skills
- Fast-learner, demonstrates proactive problem solving and critical thinking skills
- Willing to give and receive feedback; open to new ideas
- Clear, concise, and tactful written and verbal communication skills
- Honest, demonstrates high level of integrity and commitment to follow-through
- English language fluency
Additional Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience or background as an Executive Assistant, Operations Professional, and/or Account Management/Client Service
- Experience and/or interest in overseeing or managers others in the future
- Comfort and expertise helping clients to design efficient and accurate bookkeeping systems to meet the goals of their business
- Experience with GAAP accounting
- QuickBooks Online certification
- Microsoft Excel expertise and/or certification
- Experience with ClickUp or similar project management software
- Experience with any/all of the following platforms: time tracking software, Slack, Keeper App, Google Suite, Dropbox, Loom, Zoom, ChatGPT
Remote/Home Office Requirements:
- Quiet/dedicated work space
- High-speed internet, willingness to confirm upload/download speed
- Working computer and dual monitors that meet industry standards (please note our tech reimbursement benefits can contribute to this)
- Quality webcam and audio for clear, remote communication and willingness to screenshare during meetings
- You must be able to work at a computer for approximately 8 hours a day (flexible hours)
