Qualifications
- Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), or a related field (or equivalent professional experience)
- Experience:
- 5-8 years of experience in UI/UX or Product Design, with a strong portfolio of user-centered design solutions.
- Experience working on enterprise software or digital tools for healthcare, B2B, or other complex systems.
- Experience with healthcare, and prior involvement in both provider and/or patient facing and internal platform design is highly desirable.
- Ability to think strategically and tactically while managing multiple projects simultaneously
- A willingness to define and navigate ambiguity, pivoting quickly with changing priorities in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
Key Responsibilities
- User-Centered Discovery & Decision-Making
- Conduct user research, usability testing, and workflow analysis to deeply understand the needs of healthcare providers and internal users.
- Design wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity visuals to validate ideas and iterate quickly based on user feedback.
- Ensure all design outputs meet accessibility standards (WCAG 2.1 AA or higher) and align with best practices in usability and inclusive design.
- Balance simplicity and clarity with flexibility to support complex use cases in healthcare environments.
- Collaboration & Product Thinking
- Partner with Product Managers/Owners to define and prioritize features that solve real user problems and deliver measurable value.
- Collaborate with Engineers throughout the development process to ensure design intent is preserved in implementation.
- Present design concepts and rationale clearly to stakeholders, incorporating feedback without compromising user experience.
- Contribute to product discovery initiatives and influence product strategy through a user-centered lens.
- Prototyping & Experimentation
- Lead rapid design iterations with an experimentation mindset-using low- to high-fidelity prototypes to test assumptions and refine experiences.
- Help define and track design success metrics, leveraging data and insights to inform decisions and continuously improve.
Skills & Competencies
- Proven ability to own design projects end-to-end-from research to final visuals.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills in cross-functional environments.
- Expertise in design tools such as Figma, Sketch, Miro, or equivalent.
- Deep knowledge of accessibility, responsive design, and usability heuristics.
- Comfort navigating complex workflows, especially in enterprise or regulated domains (healthcare a plus).
- High attention to detail, without losing sight of the bigger picture.
- Experience designing or working within WordPress-based platforms.
