Basis Technologies is headquartered in Chicago, and our employees have the flexibility to work from headquarters, completely remote, or a hybrid of the two. Please note, we are hiring on a remote working basis only in the U.S. and Canada.

About The Team

Basis' Product team guides the innovation and development of our comprehensive tech platform, Basis. This team blends focus, collaboration, and creativity to fulfill our mission in creating a transformative tool that makes work more streamlined and fulfilling for those who power the ad tech industry.

Customer experience is at the forefront of this team’s work—and also includes market research, cross-departmental stakeholder collaboration, user testing, communicating feature requests to engineers and designers, monitoring impact of new feature rollouts, measuring returns on product investments, and more. Together, they leverage their diverse industry experience and talent to brainstorm new ideas, iterate on old ones, and create the best possible product for our customers.

WAYS YOU'LL CONTRIBUTE

As a Staff Product Designer, Design System You’ll Contribute Directly To And Help Evolve Our Design System. You’ll Collaborate Closely With Feature Team Designers To Help Conceptualize Solutions And Help Guide Proper Use Of Components, Patterns And Layouts. You’ll Also Contribute By

• Partnering directly with developers to translate design components into code
• Collaborating directly with feature team designers to continuously evolve and improve components
• Providing a strong voice for accessibility standards
• Providing overall design direction and leadership for larger, more complex projects
• Contributing to a culture of curiosity and high standards for high quality design deliverables
• Working with Product Design leadership and peers to help evolve design standards and processes within the broader Product and Technology organizations.
• Mentoring junior team members by helping them grow their design skills and product knowledge.
• Leading exploration and ideation to identify high value product experience improvements.

What You Bring To The Table

• 8+ years of relevant professional experience specializing in user experience product design across digital platforms and/or enterprise software
• Expert-level proficiency in Figma, including plugin development, automation, and leveraging AI-driven workflows
• Strong technical understanding of Storybook and frontend development principles (HTML, CSS, JavaScript frameworks),
• Exceptional visual design and UX judgment, with demonstrated success developing elegant, scalable design solutions
• Comfortable presenting design and rationale to team members and stakeholders in an efficient and clear manner
• Ability to communicate ideas clearly and concisely to a diverse audience that includes project contributors, cross functional disciplines, and product stakeholders.
• Strong portfolio that best reflects your product design experience and skill level
• Commitment to creating inclusive, respectful environments where all voices are valued and supported.
• Thoughtful approach to collaboration, design, and decision-making that prioritizes equity, access, and continuous learning.

$135,125 - $210,124 a year

This salary range reflects a typical compensation range for the role and level in most U.S. locations. Final compensation offered will depend on your location, experience, and skills. Total compensation may also include bonuses, equity, and competitive benefits.
