About This Role
The Director of Growth is focused on driving new customer acquisition and optimizing the overall growth funnel. In this role, you will strategize, execute, and iterate on growth marketing initiatives that fuel demand and scale our customer base. You’ll work closely with digital channels—both paid and organic—to generate leads, drive conversions, and increase market share. Your innovative mindset and analytical skills will be critical in testing growth hypotheses and implementing high-impact experiments.
Role & Responsibilities
Growth & Demand Generation
- Develop and implement multi-channel growth strategies that drive customer acquisition and revenue.
- Oversee and optimize performance marketing campaigns across paid social, SEM, and other digital channels.
- Collaborate with agencies and cross-functional teams to experiment with new tactics, such as retargeting, lookalike audiences, and channel-specific creative formats, scaling high-ROI initiatives.
- Develop and optimize SOPs across acquisition channels and growth strategies.
Funnel & Conversion Optimization
- Analyze the customer journey and identify opportunities for improvement in lead-to-booking conversion.
- Work with the Director, Lifecycle & CRO on funnel analytics to ensure seamless transitions between marketing touchpoints.
- Implement testing protocols (A/B tests, multivariate tests) to refine messaging, creative, and channel strategies.
- Improve conversion rates through landing page testing and funnel optimization using tools like Optimizely, Google Optimize, or Hotjar.
Data & Performance Analytics
- Track and analyze key metrics (CAC, conversion rates, engagement, etc.) to inform growth strategies and decision-making.
- Develop reporting frameworks in collaboration with Lifecycle, CRO, and data teams to generate actionable insights into campaign performance and market trends.
- Launch, analyze, and iterate on growth experiments across channels to identify scalable customer acquisition strategies.
- Manage and optimize seven-figure marketing budgets to maximize return on ad spend (ROAS).
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with cross-functional teams, including Creative, Lifecycle, Product, and Operations, to ensure cohesive strategies and a unified customer experience.
- Coordinate with creative teams to develop compelling content and messaging that resonate with target audiences.
Qualifications & Experience
- Experience: 10+ years in growth or performance marketing with a proven track record of driving customer acquisition and scaling growth initiatives.
- Skills: Deep knowledge of digital marketing channels (both paid and organic), strong analytical abilities, and experience running rigorous A/B tests.
- Local Search Expertise: Experience in local search strategies and optimizing campaigns for location-based services.
- SEO & Analytics: In-depth knowledge of Google and Bing search engines, along with expertise in GA4 for performance tracking and insights.
- Attributes: Innovative, results-driven, and highly collaborative with the ability to work across teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Bonus: Experience in subscription-based businesses or the pet industry is a plus.
- Bonus: Experience in DTC or consumer services environments and affiliate marketing experience is a plus.
