🌐 Software Engineer – AI / Data-Intensive Systems

We are helping a fast-growing, profitable consumer-tech company scale its engineering team as it builds one of the most ambitious AI-driven products in Europe.

The team is developing a real-time index of the entire e-commerce world. A massive data processing system combining large-scale ingestion, sophisticated data cleaning using LLMs, and a conversational search engine.

⭐ What you will do

You will join a highly senior engineering team working on challenges such as:

🧠 AI & Search

• Build and improve a conversational search engine powered by proprietary models
• Use LLMs to clean, normalize and classify extremely noisy data
• Shape how millions of users discover products through intelligent query understanding

⚙️ Large-Scale Data Processing

• Develop pipelines that ingest and process hundreds of millions of items in near real-time
• Design systems able to keep product data continuously fresh, despite constant price changes and inconsistencies
• Work on high-performance components where reliability and latency matter

🔧 Software Engineering & Architecture

• Collaborate across backend, data, infra and product teams
• Contribute to a highly reliable, cloud-native architecture (heavy use of serverless, distributed systems, and modern data tooling)
• Work with engineers who previously built systems at Google, Datadog, Alan, and other top-tier companies

🎯 What we’re looking for

Must-haves:

• at least 6 years of experience working as a Software Engineer
• Strong foundations in computer science (algorithms, data structures, distributed systems, performance)

Experience in at least one of the following:

• large-scale data processing
• machine learning applied to real products
• search / ranking / recommendation systems
• low-level or performance-focused programming
• Ability to communicate clearly and concisely
• Humility, curiosity, and collaborative mindset
• Excited by working on complex, ambiguous problems end-to-end

Nice-to-haves:

• Experience working with JavaScript
• Experience with LLMs, vector search, NLP, or ML-powered products
• Experience with marketplace, e-commerce, fintech or consumer-facing platforms

💰 Compensation

• Competitive senior-level compensation (up to 150k€, depending on your background)
