We’re helping a company in the bookstore and e-commerce industry find a strategic and creative Digital Marketing Manager to build brand identity, grow its online presence, and drive both foot traffic and e-commerce sales.
Currently operating online via Shopify, the brand is preparing for a theatrical in-store launch in 2026—where romance, fantasy, dark romance, crime, thriller, and horror will each be brought to life through immersive décor and storytelling. From crafting campaigns to promoting VIP events in exclusive spaces, you’ll be instrumental in positioning the bookstore as a destination for genre enthusiasts.
Part-Time, 20 hours/month to start (potential to grow full-time)
Location: Remote (PH-based applicants preferred)
Engagement: Independent Contractor
Start Date: September 22, 2025
Monthly starting rate: $560 -$800 (based on a 20-hour workweek, depending on level of experience)
What You’ll Do
- Develop, refine, and execute a marketing strategy around the grand opening and beyond
- Manage and grow Facebook and Instagram pages
- Launch and manage Facebook, Instagram, and Google Ads campaigns
- Build a storytelling-focused content calendar with event-driven and promotional posts
- Create social content (static and motion designs in Canva)
- Collaborate with the founder on messaging, tone, and creative direction
- Optimize Shopify store content and establish a basic SEO presence
- Design and execute Klaviyo email campaigns for events, promotions, and VIP memberships
- Provide weekly high-level updates and monthly reports (via PowerPoint)
- Support TikTok content ideation and trends (especially BookTok)
- Assist with cross-promotion of in-store events and ticketed experiences
What We’re Looking For
- Proven digital marketing experience in retail, e-commerce, or event-driven businesses (at least 3 years)
- Proficiency with Meta Ads (Facebook/Instagram) and Google Ads
- Strong Canva skills for rapid content creation
- Experience managing content calendars and campaign workflows
- Comfortable analyzing data and presenting insights in PowerPoint
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and confidence in a startup environment
- Available during AEST hours for regular collaboration
Nice-to-Haves
- Passion for books and genre fiction (romance, fantasy, horror, thriller)
- Familiarity with Shopify marketing, Klaviyo, and email automation
- Knowledge of BookTok trends and TikTok strategy
- Experience optimizing basic SEO (keywords, product descriptions)
- Understanding of platforms like Pinterest or X (Twitter)
