This opportunity is with an innovative media company that fuses art and technology to make art more accessible throughout the world. The position will work with a large number of artists, museums and image libraries to curate, market and distribute artworks to an international customer base.
JOB HIGHLIGHTS
The Content and Marketing Manager will be involved in art curation, management of our app platforms, artist and customer outreach, and implementation of marketing initiatives promoting the company and its products.
This role will directly collaborate with artists and other content sources to expand a large database of artwork and deploy it across our distribution network. Daily management of artwork on our app, artist submissions and other app-related functions will be a central part of the role. Additionally, the role will interface with customers for fulfillment of their content and app needs. A strong eye for quality artwork, excellent communication ability, and detailed organizational skills comprise key components of the job scope.
As a primary manager of content on the company’s platforms, the role will also assist the management team in creating, deploying and monitoring various marketing and advertising initiatives which promote the company’s content. This will include creating and distributing announcements to media outlets, e-newsletters, website “news/blog” updates and online ads on outlets such as Google Ads, Facebook Ads, and YouTube. The role will monitor various engagement and performance metrics to gauge their effectiveness and conversion rates.
CORE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Primary duties and responsibilities include:
- Artwork curation, sourcing, formatting and deployment to the company’s distribution platforms.
- Direct artist outreach and communication, which cultivates a high-quality user base of artists exhibiting their work on the platform.
- Management of all apps, including artwork, users/customers, and features.
- App testing and quality control to ensure correct functionality of all features.
- Placement and coordination of advertisements and promotions on different digital ad platforms such as Google Ads, Facebook Ads, and YouTube. Reporting on campaign metrics and costs.
- Development and support of partnerships with content creators and aggregators.
- Originating and posting regular social media posts that highlight new or engaging artwork or artists on the company’s platforms. Monitoring and reporting the engagement numbers from the different posts to inform the marketing strategy.
- Creating basic graphics, using such platforms as Canva or Photoshop.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS:
- Good artistic judgment and taste, such that you are able to identify quality artists and artwork.
- Excellent, professional communication skills. This role will involve daily dialogue with artists and fellow staff. You will need to be a strong written and verbal communicator with a positive personality, punctual follow-up and good time management abilities.
- Proficiency with Dropbox, Google Drive Suite and Microsoft Office to create digital materials.
- A cheerful attitude and the ability to work in a team environment while being resourceful, enthusiastic, and solutions-oriented.
- Strong spelling, grammar, and proofreading skills.
- Stellar organizational ability and thoughtful attention to detail when working with content management systems and organizing files within the database.
ADDITIONAL PREFERRED SKILLS (Not required, but please note if proficient):
- Experience in Marketing, such as newsletter creation and distribution, blog posts, agency account interaction, and digital press ads and publications.
- Design skills via Canva or Photoshop and/or other basic photo-editing software to create digital materials. This generally consists of a layout and adding modern text overlays.
- Basic Word Press skills, such as Elementor.
COMPENSATION
$1,600/month. Performance bonuses available for achievement of specific metrics.
Fully remote with flexible hours, some overlap with PDT needed.
