Senior UX/UI Designer (Retail)

Our client is a prominent European consumer electronics retailer continuously innovating its digital ecosystem. They are looking for a Senior UX/UI Designer to join their newly formed Retail Media team in Barcelona.

In this role, you will take full ownership of the end-to-end product design lifecycle, seamlessly integrating third-party solutions while maintaining an intuitive, accessible, and high-performing user experience.

Responsibilities:

• Steer the overarching UX and UI strategy for Retail Media applications across web and mobile apps
• Translate user needs, business goals, partner inputs, and technical requirements into intuitive product experiences
• Leverage product KPIs, quantitative data, and qualitative customer insights to validate design choices and spot new opportunities
• Conduct user research studies, usability testing sessions, and overall solution validation
• Facilitate interactive workshops and ideation sessions with product, tech, business, and external stakeholders
• Shape product requirements and concepts from initial discovery through to final delivery
• Craft clear user flows, detailed interaction designs, Wireframes, and interactive prototypes
• Support agile product development by preparing and refining tickets and delivery artifacts
• Collaborate on sprint planning, backlog refinement, and process optimization within the team
• Serve as the dedicated advocate for customer experience in commercial and technical discussions
• Ensure all designs remain accessible, usable, consistent, and harmonious with the broader platform
• Contribute to the ongoing evolution and implementation of the design system
• Drive the smart, value-driven application of AI tools, agents, and automated workflows in product design

Requirements:

• At least eight years of solid professional background in UX/UI Design, Product Design, or related fields
• Comprehensive mastery of the full product design lifecycle from discovery to continuous optimization
• Demonstrated history of designing complex digital products across both web and mobile app platforms
• Deep skills in user-centered design methodologies, interaction design, accessibility, and prototyping
• Proven expertise using quantitative metrics and qualitative feedback to guide product decisions
• Sound grasp of product KPIs, conversion funnels, and the link between customer UX and business ROI
• Hands-on practice leading ideation workshops, research activities, and cross-functional team initiatives
• Capacity to articulate and defend strategic design choices while welcoming collaborative input
• Strong foundation in inclusive design principles, accessibility guidelines, and scalable design systems
• Broad business acumen with an ability to balance varied commercial and technical interests
• Thoughtful and mature perspective on integrating AI into everyday design practices
