About the Company:

B2U Storage Solutions, Inc. (B2U) is the leading provider of large-scale Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) utilizing 2nd life OEM EV battery packs. B2U’s patented energy storage systems are interconnected to the grid, selling energy and grid services into wholesale markets. B2U’s energy storage systems have been operational since 2020. B2U’s second grid connected energy storage system has been operational since November 2023. A third facility is now being converted from PV only to a hybrid storage facility.

Job Description and Responsibilities:

B2U is seeking a Engineering Manager to join the leadership team, reporting to the Vice President of Engineering, whose responsibilities will include:

• Lead and manage engineering team from hub of operations in Lancaster, CA.
• Coordinate engineering for B2U’s BESS project deployments in conjunction with engineering team, engineering consultants and operations team.
• Determine priorities of product roadmap in conjunction with VP Engineering and management; lead implementation of priority initiatives.
• Oversee processes and procedures for operations and assembly and construction to ensure safety and quality control assurance

• Strong leadership, management and communication skills.
• Project management, cost control, schedule development, and risk management skills.
• Highly motivated, process-oriented self-starter who thrives in an innovative and entrepreneurial environment.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities within constraints
• At least ten (10) years of engineering experience
• At least seven (7) years of engineering management, including electrical engineering team.
• At least five (5) years with BESS or power generation industry experience.
• Experience with large format electric vehicle batteries, electronic controls, power electronics, and/or power generation is a plus.

Skills/Requirements:

• Highly motivated self-starter, hands-on, team player.
• Excellent planning, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to communicate within the internal team as well as with external teams and businesses throughout project lifecycles.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office including Excel, Word, Outlook, Project, Planner.
• Experience with ECAD (Altium Designer) and MCAD (Solid Works) programs is a plus.
• Authorized to work in the US.
