Job Description

We are looking for a Senior Mobile Game Designer with a solid professional background and a significant portfolio to join our team. This strategic position is aimed at a passionate and experienced creative, capable not only of designing and enhancing innovative and engaging gameplay experiences but also of taking over and perfecting existing gameplay. An early prototype of the game is already available, and your mission will be to evolve it while playing an active role in our fundraising initiatives.

Your Responsibilities

Gameplay Design, Refinement & Innovation

Take over the partially developed initial gameplay, analyze its strengths and areas for improvement, then redesign it to deliver a more polished and engaging experience.
Create and develop new game concepts and mechanics in line with the Thorium Empires universe and mobile market expectations.

Artistic Direction & Gameplay

Define and oversee game design guidelines, including storytelling, progression systems, level design, and difficulty management.
Collaborate closely with development, graphic, and technical teams to ensure seamless integration of design elements.

Strategy & Partnerships

Contribute to the project roadmap as well as decisions regarding monetization, retention, and growth strategies.
Actively participate alongside the leadership team in the current fundraising round, offering strategic expertise and contributing to the project’s valuation in discussions with investors.

Research & Analysis

Stay informed on trends and innovations in mobile gaming to ensure our offering aligns with market evolutions.
Analyze player feedback and performance data to continuously iterate and improve the gameplay experience.

Desired Profile

Experience

7 to 10+ years of experience in game design, ideally within the mobile gaming industry.
Proven track record demonstrating your ability to design, launch, and optimize successful mobile games on iOS and Android.

Technical and Creative Skills

Proficiency in design tools (sketching, prototyping, etc.) and game design software.
Excellent understanding of monetization mechanics and models such as Free-to-Play, Play-to-Earn, and retention strategies.

Personal Qualities

Entrepreneurial mindset, high creativity, and the ability to work in a startup environment.
Excellent communication, leadership, and collaboration skills.
Ability to make strategic decisions and be actively involved in the overall development of the project, particularly during fundraising phases.

Bonus Skills

Experience integrating AI tools for personalized gaming experiences.
Demonstrated success in refining and enhancing existing gameplay, as well as contributing to the valuation of projects during fundraising phases.

Languages spoken: English (required), French (optional but strongly recommended).
