Type: Full Time position, but starting part time
About the Role
We’re seeking a highly experienced Software Engineer who thrives at the intersection of advanced web technologies and cutting-edge AI systems. This role is ideal for someone who is both a JavaScript ecosystem expert and an AI engineering — able to design robust architectures that support modern applications and intelligent automation.
You’ll be joining a team that values clear thinking, technical excellence, and intellectual curiosity. We move fast, think deeply, and build systems designed to last.
What You’ll Do
- Architect and evolve a scalable, modular infrastructure from the ground up
- Build and maintain clean, well-documented public APIs (GraphQL/REST)
- Develop flexible data layers using tools like Prisma or equivalent ORMs
- Design and integrate systems for AI agents, including local and external LLMs
- Implement privacy-conscious, secure AI workflows
- Drive best practices in code quality, CI/CD, testing, and observability
- Collaborate closely with product and engineering teams to define AI-native infrastructure
You’re a Great Fit If You Have:
Deep JavaScript & Web Stack Expertise
- Advanced experience with JavaScript frameworks (Node.js, React, Next.js)
- Familiarity with GraphQL (Apollo, Hasura) and RESTful API development
- Knowledge of modular architecture, monorepos, and clean service boundaries
- Experience with containerization (Docker) and modern DevOps practices
Advanced AI Engineering Proficiency
- Hands-on experience working with LLMs (OpenAI, Claude, Mistral, local models)
- Familiarity with frameworks like LangChain, AutoGen, and agentic design patterns
- Knowledge of context engineering, fine-tuning, vector search, embeddings
- Understanding of AI data privacy, model hosting, and local inference setups
- Experience building infrastructure to support AI agents and autonomous workflows
Bonus Points For Experience With:
- Event-driven systems (Kafka, NATS, webhooks)
- Content versioning, change-tracking, and audit trails
- Observability and logging tools (e.g., Sentry, Datadog, Prometheus)
- Systems in edtech, CRM, or academic grading environments
What We Value:
- Clear and rigorous thinking
- Ownership mindset and accountability
- Curiosity about new technologies and their implications
- Collaborative spirit with strong communication skills
- Commitment to building systems that are understandable, testable, and scalable
