Senior Fullstack Developer (Next.js / Node.js / Microservices)

About The Opportunity

We are looking for a Senior Fullstack Developer to help design, develop, and optimize scalable web applications within our Technology and Application Development team.

In this role, you will work with Next.js, Express.js, and modern cloud technologies within a microservices-based architecture, applying Hexagonal Architecture principles and modern software engineering practices.

As a senior engineer, you will play a key role in leading technical decisions, ensuring high-quality and maintainable code, and implementing best practices such as SOLID principles, Domain-Driven Design (DDD), and Clean Architecture.

You will collaborate closely with Product Managers, Project Managers, QA engineers, and other developers to deliver business features that drive product innovation, operational efficiency, and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable, high-performance web applications.
• Build clean, modular, and testable code using TypeScript across backend (Node.js / Express.js) and frontend (Next.js / React).
• Architect and develop microservices-based solutions following Hexagonal Architecture principles.
• Design and optimize relational (PostgreSQL) and NoSQL (Firestore) databases, ensuring efficient data modeling and performance.
• Develop and integrate RESTful APIs and event-driven architectures to enable seamless communication between services.
• Apply software engineering best practices including SOLID, Clean Architecture, and Domain-Driven Design (DDD).
• Collaborate with QA engineers and Project Managers to ensure solutions meet product and technical requirements.
• Monitor and support CI/CD pipelines for automated deployments in Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Lead code reviews, technical discussions, and mentoring of other developers.
• Optimize performance, scalability, and security across the entire application stack.
• Stay updated with industry trends and emerging technologies to continuously improve development processes.
• Maintain and enhance existing services and application functionalities to ensure reliability and user satisfaction.

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a Fullstack Developer.
• Strong proficiency in TypeScript, Node.js, and Express.js.
• Experience building modern web applications with Next.js and React.
• Solid understanding of microservices architecture and Hexagonal Architecture.
• Experience designing and managing relational (PostgreSQL) and NoSQL databases.
• Deep knowledge of software architecture patterns, including SOLID, Domain-Driven Design (DDD), CQRS, and Clean Architecture.
• Experience working with event-driven architectures and messaging systems (e.g., Pub/Sub, Kafka, RabbitMQ).
• Experience working with CI/CD pipelines and automated deployments.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to lead technical discussions.
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and manage development timelines.

Nice To Have Skills

• Experience with additional technologies such as Python or GraphQL.
• Knowledge of serverless architectures in GCP (Cloud Functions, Firebase, etc.).
• Hands-on experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience working with cloud infrastructure, preferably Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Experience optimizing high-load or high-performance applications.
• Familiarity with DevOps practices and infrastructure automation.
• English level B1 or higher.
• Strong leadership, attention to detail, integrity, and self-management skills.
• Excellent communication, time management, and organizational abilities.
