About the Opportunity

Trayt is looking for a passionate Full-Stack Software Engineer to help build and scale our digital health platforms. You will join a fast-paced startup environment focused on delivering modern and efficient healthcare solutions. Trayt’s product suite includes a React-based web application, a mobile app built with React Native, and backend services using NodeJS. We are looking for engineers who write clean, secure, and well-tested code, and who are excited about working in a mission-driven team that supports medical partners.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with Product and Design teams to build intuitive and accessible user experiences.
Develop and maintain front-end interfaces using React and Material UI.
Design, build, and test RESTful, authenticated API endpoints in NodeJS.
Write and maintain unit tests to ensure software quality, responsiveness, and efficiency.
Participate in code reviews and pull requests using GitHub, promoting knowledge sharing and code quality.
Ensure adherence to best practices across all development and deployment phases.
Take ownership of features from planning to deployment and monitoring.
Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams to clarify requirements and deliver robust solutions.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
Experience with front-end development using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and ReactJS.
Experience with NodeJS for building backend APIs.
Familiarity with unit testing frameworks and a test-driven mindset.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Passion for solving problems and delivering high-quality code.
Comfortable working in Mac/Linux environments and using the command line.
Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively in a remote, fast-paced environment.

Nice to Have

Experience with TypeScript in both frontend and backend.
Exposure to Python (especially for data analysis projects).
Familiarity with AWS services, such as S3, Glue, DynamoDB, Fargate, CloudFront, and RDS.
Experience working with React Native.
Understanding of cloud-based deployments and CI/CD pipelines (not a devops role, but some familiarity is beneficial).
Experience in health tech or working with HIPAA-compliant systems.
Enthusiasm for diversity, equity, and inclusion in tech teams.
