Role: Software Support Engineer

Description:
We are looking for a full-time Tier 3 Support software engineer to join our engineering team. The Tier 3 Support software engineer will participate in our technical support process, working closely with Customer Support and product development engineers to triage, reproduce, and fix customer-reported software and data bugs.
Responsibilities:
● Work with Customer Support Reps to triage, reproduce, and fix customer-reported production software issues.
● Participate in regular triage sessions to set priorities and plan work for the day.
● Utilize product/engineering knowledge bases and software codebases to research issues and identify appropriate solutions.
● Fix data problems and make routine data changes to production databases.
● Identify and create tickets for software code fixes to address customer-reported software bugs.
● Provide timely and accurate updates on work in Jira tickets, Slack Channels and email.
Technical Skills:
● Strong software product and code debugging skills.
● Experience and confidence working in and making updates to, a Cloud-based, production SaaS software system.
● Experience working with relational databases - including reading and writing SQL, executing SQL queries and analyzing results.
● Deep understanding of JavaScript and Java. Ability to read and understand product software codebases is essential for root cause analysis.
● Experience with NoSQL document stores, like Redis.
● Familiarity with the Jira ticketing system used for planning, tracking and providing updates on work.
● Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
