Avenga is looking for a skilled Technical Product Owner to join our team full-time. Our client is a leading multi-national lottery operator with a market-leading presence in Austria, the Czech Republic, Greece, Cyprus, and Italy. They build better lotteries that return more to good causes by focusing on innovation, technology, efficiency, and safety across a growing casual gaming entertainment portfolio. What do you bring along:
- 4+ years of experience in BA/Product-related positions;
- Strong background in Agile methodologies;
- Skilled in backlog management, including writing user stories, epics, and assisting with prioritization and planning;
- Ability to assert product direction and manage stakeholder conflicts effectively;
- Background in project delivery, including elements of project management;
- Ability to plan and coordinate work for the scrum team, focusing on technical deliverables along with in-depth business requirements gathering;
- Solid understanding of infrastructure and platform domains (practical experience with AWS Cloud (Management Console and services); Kubernetes, Infrastructure as Code (IaC); general monitoring and logging tools);
- Experience supporting or leading initiatives in Business Intelligence and Big Data environments;
- Strong awareness of data-driven platforms and data analysis practices;
- Solid knowledge in software architectures and processes related to software delivery. Not expected to serve as an architect but must be technically savvy and familiar with engineering workflows;
- Leverage and apply contextual knowledge of the iGaming domain, enhancing analysis and solution development with a product ownership perspective.
Nice to have:
- Understanding of AI-related technologies;
- Familiarity with data science concepts or hands-on experience.
This is your mission:
- Work with the stakeholders and product managers to analyze data and align product roadmap to strategic goals;
- Act as an ambassador for the product internally and externally, and as the primary technical contact for queries related to the product;
- Possess a fundamental understanding of end to end customer experience integration and dependencies;
- Work closely with key roles such as Tech Leads and Delivery Managers to ensure requirements clarity and technical excellence;
- Develop scope documents and define Epics/User Stories that guide our CLS Software Development teams;
- Assess value, develop cases, and prioritize stories, epics, and themes to ensure work focuses on those with maximum value that are aligned with product strategy;
- Define priorities for short-term delivery within sprints and also for longer-term delivery along with Product Managers and stakeholders;
- Ensure that dependencies, risks, and stakeholders’ expectations are identified and managed;
- Develop appropriately detailed specifications for product features so that they are clearly understood by the development team;
- Develop and maintain an appropriately prioritized backlog of user stories for implementation;
- Run refinement sessions with the development teams in order to articulate delivery goals, provide details and refine stories.
