Marketing Specialist - Email Programs

What You'll Do

Avalara is looking for a customer marketing manager focused on email programs. You will create programs which push Avalara to make good on the brand promise of ease and simplicity while keeping customers informed about product and service updates.

What Your Responsibilities Will Be

• You will be responsible for all technical aspects of the marketing automation journey within the email delivery platform (Eloqua/Marketo): building/managing assets (emails, segments, campaigns, dynamic content), editing, testing, and deploying
• You will work directly with other marketing teams and global product, engineering, compliance and legal teams to support email programs and sends across a global customer base.
• You will work with all departments within Avalara based on JIRA ticketing system to gather requirements and translate needs into technical execution for email campaigns.
• Your quick and timely communication with all important partners and team members is necessary to the success of this role.
• Every day you will manage project plans.

What You’ll Need To Be Successful

• You have 3+ years experience using marketing automation tools such as Workfront, Eloqua, Marketo and JIRA to perform program management and build tasks.
• You can run QA on campaigns to ensure we provide an outstanding experience to our audiences and have proper data flow and deliverables – and comply with necessary external and internal compliance requirements.
• You have prior partnership experience with product teams and taking documentation into marketing-level objectives and communication.
• You have at least 3 years experience with an proficiency in Eloqua, Marketo or similar software tools.
• 7 or more years of experience B2B SaaS marketing experience required.
• Occasional weekend or evening work may be required in urgent situations.
