Lead Software Engineer - Back End

We are currently hiring two (2) Senior Software Engineers for a high‑performing, globally scaled digital platform building and operating complex, real‑world systems. This is an initial 12‑month remote contract, with a strong track record of long‑term renewals. Engineers placed in this team have stayed for years.

You will join a mature, high‑impact engineering organization where code quality, security, scalability, and operational excellence are not buzzwords—but daily expectations.

About the Role

This position is backend‑driven, focused on building and scaling Java/Spring Boot microservices for large‑scale B2B2C and multi‑tenant platforms. Engineers are expected to take ownership, contribute technically at a senior level, and collaborate closely with cross‑functional teams in a fast‑moving environment.

You will be working with modern technologies, cloud‑native architecture, and production systems at scale.

Ideal candidates must have:

• 10+ years of professional software engineering experience
• 3+ years in a senior or technical leadership / team‑lead capacity
• Deep expertise in Java (21 / 25) and Spring Boot
• Strong experience building microservices on PostgreSQL
• Solid TypeScript experience (Angular is a strong plus)
• Strong knowledge of security best practices (OAuth2, JWT)
• Proven delivery in complex B2B2C or multi‑tenant systems
• Strong focus on operational excellence, reliability, and scalability
